When I was Seven

Kind of late posting this, but better than never! Ang InK had a mini-exhibit last June 1-15, 2010 at Gallery 7, Eastwood Mall.  The theme was to draw yourself at age seven, which was a lot of fun.

I can’t remember much about myself as a seven year old aside from that. Oh, and the fact that I always got into trouble for playing pranks on people.

What were YOU like at seven years old?

The Angel of Stories

My entry for this year’s annual INK exhibit. I illustrated a part of a story, “Anghel ng Kuwento”, written by the late children’s writer Rene O. Villanueva. It is about angels who give inspiration to children through imagination and stories. I drew this sometime in September, and the exhibit ran for two weeks at CCP in November.

I am thinking about putting this up for sale (it’s framed and printed on special shiny matte paper), anyway send me a message if you’re interested and I’ll see what I can do!

Forever RENEver

On its 18th year, Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan (Ang I.N.K.) presents its annual exhibit for 2009, entitled “ForeveRENEver,” a tribute to the late children’s writer Rene O. Villanueva, whose literature has showcased I.N.K. illustrators’ works for several decades now.

Ang I.N.K. pays tribute to one of the most celebrated figures in the landscape of Filipino children’s books with a showcase of more than 30 works that bring to life Rene’s never-been-illustrated literature!

Join Ang I.N.K. in honoring the memory of Rene O. Villanueva, and in ensuring that his legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of future generations of Filipino readers.

Opening night is on November 19th, 7:30 pm at the CCP Little Theater Lobby.

Chinese Circus

Chinese Circus

This is my entry for the annual INK exhibit held in Shangrila mall a couple of weeks ago. The theme was about the circus/carnivals and I wanted to be different so I went with a Chinese theme. I’ve seen a few shows when I lived in China for a year, and I was really amazed.

I worked on this one for a whole week and I’m really proud of it. I managed to sell it too!!! So happy.
