There was a dragon dance in my neighborhood yesterday. There were about 4 lions in different colors (so cute!), and a dragon! * u *

I want my own Chinese lion to scare away bad things. Plus they just look so darn cuddly! ♥

Happy Chinese New Year!

I hope everyone’s Christmases were warm and merry, and may the new year be happy and full of blessings.

Pinky Swear, a local children’s clothing store, approached me and asked me to draw a character for their brand. My friend Arlene Sy designed their logo!

Everyone’s a fan of something! She is typing a poem about tomatoes and it probably goes something like this:

Oh tomatoes,
how can it be,
that you are so yummy
but at the same time
so very healthy?
Just thinking about you
fills me with glee!
Oh tomatoes,
how I love thee!

I don’t know what was going on in my head when I drew this!   I think I was enjoying this really good tomato soup for lunch and I was just thinking how awesome tomatoes are. My mind often wanders to the randomest of things.

Also, did you know that a book called “A Tomato Lover’s Handbook” actually exists?! Published in 1987, it has a nice recipe for tomato jam. [link] LOL.

May Japan get through this crisis.

It is the year of the bunny! I managed to finish this early. I feel so proud. hahaha! I read somewhere that this will be a lucky year for the Sheep, Horse, Pig (yay~), and Ox. Happy Chinese New Year! Prints available on deviantart!

“Upsy daisy!”

A client commissioned me to draw her with her favorite things.

Kind of late posting this, but better than never! Ang InK had a mini-exhibit last June 1-15, 2010 at Gallery 7, Eastwood Mall.  The theme was to draw yourself at age seven, which was a lot of fun.

I can’t remember much about myself as a seven year old aside from that. Oh, and the fact that I always got into trouble for playing pranks on people.
